I just collapsed the teetering pile of cardboard boxes that had been growing in my apartment. (It's a pain to throw out cardboard boxes here -- have to bring them downstairs to the scary garage -- so I tend to just let the empty boxes stack up until they get to a point where I have to do something.) Suddenly, my apartment seems to have a whole lot more space.
