[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

Hivemind question: Some family friends have asked to get a copy of Dave's resume to see if they can help him with finding a better job. So, I am trying to write a general cover letter, but I am stumped as to what should go into a cover letter that isn't for a specific job or even a specific type of job.

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

Oy. There's an article in the Washington Post about how some college guys are having "erectile disfunction." They quote several male students by name, and there are several people I know quoted. That was so something I didn't need to know about any of these people, especially not from a major newspaper.

Mostly lurking...

sj...I'm not sure I'd write a general cover letter. Instead, I'd add an "Objective" section to the top of the resume.

Oh, Hil. That's a bit much for this early in the morning, I bet!

With what kinds of things in it? He isn't just looking exclusively at one type of work. He has so many varying interests and qualifications.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

I don't think I'd include a letter at all - if your family are forwarding it to someone they know, they would write the letter. And then if a specific position is in the offing, Dave can write a letter then.

ETA: I'd say the same thing for the objectives.

Then skip it. Nebbermind. I also agree with brenda.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I agree with the no letter crowd.

Objectives can be pretty general, like listing skills and strengths that he wants use in any given job. General.

Would anyone be willing to take a quick look at the resume for me?

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

Feel less allergic soon, vw.

Snuggles and hugs and ~ma to those who need it. I am gronking mightily this morning.

What is even happening?

The shirts say 'fewer'. I can't have that shirt although I love it, because I love my smart boys much more.

(I could totally buy it for my cousin though, as long as she'd promise not to wear it around my boys.)

I also agree with the no-letter crowd. I am too brain dead from exhaustion to read the resume, though. Apparently, I'm redundant.
