Spike's Bitches 30: Going on Thirteen

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

What is even happening?

::wonders when the last time Cindy got to read a book by poolside::
Ha. The summer of 1995. I last read a book at the beach during the summer of 1996, because Ben was a baby, and my folks would watch him at the cottage in the afternoon, while Scott and I went to the beach.
Yup. My copy is paperback. If you'd like, when I'm done, I can mail it to you. If I love it, I'll buy it in hardback.
Cashmere, thanks. I'd say yes, but my aunt is one of those people whose houses is always immaculate. Her secret is throwing everything out. When my cousins were kids, my mother used to tell them to keep moving, or they'd get the heave ho, too. Even books don't last long.

Our wings are not tired.

Eep! Good morning vw. Hi to not morning folks. I really have to focus on work today. Ugh. I may be able to skim while waiting for long processes to run, but work work work is my plan for the day.

All is well that ends in pizza.

Eep!

Just wanted to post Eep, but I have no eep, unless it's the fact I'm gonna be late if I don't get off this 'puter.

Hi, Laura!

We don't have hot water. Well, I mean, we must have *some*, 'cause the water gets lukewarm, but not hot. I'm annoyed. I need to do dishes and take a shower. Grrrrr... I've got stuff to do today! Must get ready for the big Mother's Day Dinner.

Speaking of Mother's Day, I'm having a hard time deciding what to get mom. I've been put in charge of a group gift. LOVE it when that happens. Both brothers (and SIL) said I can get whatever I think mom would like. Well, I thought about getting her some accessories for her camera that she got for her birthday, but turns out she hasn't used the camera at all yet. Dad's not sure if she likes it, so I'm not sure I want to give her another camera-surrounded gift. I could get her gift certificates, but that just seems so impersonal. She likes Cameo jewelry, but it's pretty expensive. I guess I could run to Macy's and see if I can find any...

Friends don't let friends read "Atlas Shrugged"

Just to show the effect y'all are having on me, last weekend I was visiting my mother and sister. At one point my mother yells, "oh, it's a hummer" and my mind went to a bad, bad place before I realized she was talking about a hummingbird.

I am twelve.

I'm going to hell, aren't I?

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

Does anyone like freshwater pearls?

Yesterday when I was returning stuff I bought online at the Coldwater Creek store, the sales women gave me their in store gift with purchase because of a problem I had with the shipping. The gift set is nice, but not my style. It would be free/cost of postage to a good home

Now tagless for your comfort.

EEEP. I need to get off my ass and get out to the beach. I'm just staring out the French doors at the pool. It's overcast today but I can get some good reading in. I could also walk to the shops to buy a hat. Decisions, decisions.

vw, pretty!
