Spike's Bitches 30: Going on Thirteen

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

Tobey is feisty and filled with rage. Loving him more than ever.

Yes, I did. (Um, not that I have a handy link to Venus Rising, but I'm sure I will eventually.)

She did something creepy like pose with tarantulas, didn't she?

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

no, not exactly. I'm pretty sure you don't want to know though.

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

Oh, theoretically they are, but for some reason, a lot of goths are afraid of them. I am overwhelmingly phobic of them

What you need to do to get over your fear of spiders, is to get stung by a scorpion, and then witness a spider trapping and eating a scorpion. This will make you love and appreciate how spiders are our friends. Or is that just me?

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

Just you.

Just you, WindSparrow. Just you.

I know that spiders are good, helpful things, and aren't really out to get me. I do. But something about how they move throws me into complete hindbrain fear, and I. Cannot. Deal.

They can be good and helpful things over there.

Me and snakes, yep.

Spiders I am just allergic to mostly. But enough that they are not allowed in my home. First I evict and then, if they come back, I squarsh 'em.

I don't do rats.

Our wings are not tired.

I've gotten a bit better over the years, but not much.

I have 3 major phobias. Those things, needles, and heights. I have worked hard over the years to reduce the fear. Mixed success.

Living in Florida for the last 25 years has pretty much cured me of the first one. When I first moved here I would have to go and get a neighbor to rid my house of the badness before I could stay inside. So glad I acclimated to sharing my space with them, momentarily until I squash their ickyness. They don't upset me anymore, but I don't actually allow them to live in my house.

Needles were horrible for me, and I still have to sing, tap my foot, and go through routines to get through them. I didn't have an option because I had to have blood drawn every single week with both pregnancies because of sugar issues. Since I had to find a way to endure them it is much better now.

Heights are still an issue, but through much practice I can now drive over bridges and overpasses without hyperventilating. I am pretty good at climbing ladders now too. Balconies aren't happening in this lifetime though.

... Ha! The Suns are killing the Lakers. Yay!
