Shit's all sorts of different now.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY KARL!

Send good thoughts to Jilli; it's starting to look like a big year for spiders - I've thrown 3 out of the house in the last 14 hours, and they were all different species.

She is not thrilled.

What is even happening?

Happy Birthday, Karl!!!

This one is very similar to what I actually bought for Prom. Except the dress is a black with a beige vine print and an ecru lace overlay above the bust. A very flattering style and makes anyone look like they have a lot of waist. I just haven't figured out yet if I could put or need a crinoline under it.

So pretty, Sail. That one featured, has a crinoline under it. I think within the last week or two, Jilli gave some advice on how full a skirt needed to be, to accomodate a crinoline, maybe, unless I dreamt that, which is possible. Maybe thread suck and control+F for Jilli?

I'm getting the pig!

Poor, poor frazzled Jilli! Many calming vibes and No More Insects ~ma for the Reason household.

Mostly lurking...

Remember the retard who was on my fire escape about a year ago at 2am hanging a sign? Well, they're hanging a sign again and on the fire escape and the roof. It's making Toto go nuts. They're not allowed to be on the roof. I feel like calling the cops again.

I vaguely remember the story, vw. Who are they, though?

Oh, Pete, poor Jilli. I just killed one in my kitchen, not 10 minutes ago.

I can totally see Laura in that dress.

Nana korobi, ya oki. (Fall down seven times, stand up eight.) ~Yuzuru Hanyu/Japanese proverb

how full a skirt needed to be, to accomodate a crinoline

I think she said 100" circumference around the hem. My big deal is more, does it need it? I don't think it does, but would it look better with one? I need someone to see it on to give me good advice. I'll probably model it for her or JZ to give me an idea.

I look more rad than Lutheranism

Happy Birthday, Karl!!!! I can deliver a birthday hug in person in less than 2 weeks!

but looks pretty and vaguely late summer/Halloweeny

Halloweenie is good. You betcha.

Is it feasible, from a seamstress POV, to take my cherry dress and cut off the bodice and add a zipper and waistband to the skirt, to make it into just, well, a skirt?

(By "seamstress POV," I mean someone not me. I don't want to take it in with this crack-headed idea and have her laugh at me. No one likes getting mocked by a seamstress.)
