Spike's Bitches 30: Going on Thirteen

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

move out and draw fire

Timelies all. Halfway through a rainy holiday weekend here (May Day). We went to the Archaeological Museum yesterday, which is the absolute best museum here and too big to see in one day. Especially with a baby on your back. We did benefit from the Greek love of children in that they allowed us to take the papoose into the museum and feed the Boo in the museum. And of course everyone made much of him.

We can't go back today though because it's on the edge of the district that's the epicenter of anti-everything-ism, and since it's Socialist Labor Day, there are tons of demonstrations etc.

So basically I'm being dark grey here and playing with Mallory, who really wants to be splashing around in the rain.

Calli: My people have a saying. A man who trusts can never be betrayed, only mistaken.Avon: Life expectancy among your people must be extremely short.

Spidra, are you being treated for RSI pain? A lot of time doctors don't take it seriously enough and don't do enough for it. Cause of the essentially zero chance of being fatal thing. Quality of life is not always the same priority for the doctor as the patient.

I wish I could just go somewhere to get flensed but none of the whaling ships near me take Medicare.

I'm not truly being treated, no. I didn't have insurance when I got it. I paid out of pocket to see a respected specilalist but he wasn't taking new patients. My various health insurances since have never been willing to cover the treatment I need. So I basically manage pain with what money I can scrape up. I have an appointment with a new type of practitioner this Wednesday, though, and I hope that reveals something helpful.

ION, I went to be around 3 and woke up at 7:30. My eyes feel burn-y, my throat is sore and my nose has got that kind of electric feeling. I think I'm sick.

Sorry for the me me me. My attention span isn't that great right now.

beth, I hope you're back to sleeping right now. Go see a good massage therapist or chiropractor about your neck if it keeps up. Neck issues cause issues so many other places.

I walked out of church. I don't do that very often. I have to be pretty angry. I'm actually so angry that I have the feeling I'm searching for a new church.

Yikes. What happened?

Also, sometimes angry is the right place to be.

Ack. It's long and complicated, but has to do with a woman giving her testimony about how she was cured from "lesbianism."

Oh sweet Jesus. Crap.

Pretty much my feeling as well.

So, as soon as Emily gets out of the shower and dressed, we're going to go to brunch, and I'm going to get very drunk on mimosas.
