Spike's Bitches 30: Going on Thirteen
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.
Vortex, IIRC, can wear purple bras and not have them show through. I'm jealous. Anything that would match me would probably be a dumb colour on its own.
I don't like beige underwear, period. I figure white shows I was aiming for the clothes itself. There is no invisibility. I wear support undergarments, and that is it.
My bras are mostly loud.
Have one or two white, a blue one that matches what I have on now, and red, orange, and fuchsia, because what the hell?
Back when I could fit into Victoria's Secret satin line, my bras were loud indeed. Massive flowers, bright colours, etc. However, Wacoal now fits me properly, but is unduly demure. Black, white, and the dreaded beige. So I stick to black and white--I did get one white bra with purple edging on the lace. Itt's very exciting. It'll have to be my special occasion support undergarment.
Do you want me to find a stylist and book an appointment for you on Saturday morning? To be on the safe side I should probably escort you there and back as well, now that I think of it. No use taking chances with these things.
Bwah! Well, if you could give me a heads up about a good-but-affordable place & maybe make a reservation, that would be cool, but the Friday would be better for me, I think.
Typo Boy's comment about the price is a salient one, though; my Dad has a hair dresser's, so generally I don't have to pay when I'm in the UK. Here I've been paying 20LE ($1.50ish) for a not-bad haircut, but then there was the scary bad butchery-of-hair incident, which filled me with The Fear, (AND cost 40LE, because it was a girl rather than the barber I normally have!!!). When I went into the shop in London and said "fix my head! it was cut by someone who doesn't speak English OR cut short hair! Help! I have an interview tomorrow!" it cost me 40 sterling (ie about $30, I guess?). They did a very nice job. More than that would strike me as very expensive.
I'm always shocked at what people pay for stylists around here. Which is why it took a friend making a girl date for me and paying for it for me to get the haircut I have at the moment. Which took getting used to but I have to admit it's a more flattering cut.
I wear support undergarments, and that is it.
And undergarments support you, ita. Heh. Actually, there's something about what you said that makes me imagine that WB cartoon where Yosemite Sam and Bugs Bunny are both campaigning for mayor of a Western town.
I went to my Krewe's Spring Frolic today. It was a small turnout but fun. I started to get pretty violently nauseous and headachey from the 2 or 3 smokers there. I tried to move away from the smoke but it was difficult to do that and still be part of the group. I stuck it out as long as I could. I've always hated smoke, but I've gotten even more sensitive to it with age. I do wish smokers would just shoot up. I have nothing against them being addicted to nicotine. It's the delivery method that's my issue...
Napped when I got home because RSI pain was bad again. I've been decently productive since getting up. I forced myself to look up the Cpanel interface for my web host and figure out/remember how to do it. So I've done triage updates for mine and my brother's music pages on my site. I've been putting off a site redesign forever. The problem of the perfectionist. I'm all or nothing with too much. And I usually achieve "nothing" rather than "all".
I said that about true demi cups for Ds, and no one seems to have rushed to corner that particular market, either. Because bra makers are evil.
I would pay cash money for these. I love demi bras.
Did masses for my house today in prep for mom visiting Monday. The futon is still in pieces and so is the desk but a lot of the rest is actually more together. To wit, the door is open to the RoomOfVortexDoom for the first time since I moved in. It ain't pretty, but it is getting closer.
And my neighbor had a new boy move in. A very chatty one. He's nice though and I have a couch that is going to need moving eventually... There also might be the point where it's nice to know your neighbors if they aren't insane.
I have a hot pad right now that is making the rounds along all of my new bumps, bruises and ouchies.
Sorry for your ouchiness, Spidra and Cass. Hope a good night's rest is in the offing.
Speaking of.... how'd it get to be 2:25am CDT?

Time Fairies. They flutter around stealing time.
The grain bags of heating are doing their job pretty well. I just keep rewarming them. Nuke (the bag, not my back or knee), rest, repeat.
And I got udder cream for my feet when I rampaged through Trader Joe's today. Which, for as long as it has been around, still sounds creepy still to me but seems to be de-hoofing them.
Fay, ja nice cut will likely cost you at least $40 at a decent salon in SF IIRC. I almost never get away for less than $60, which is why I don't go in all that often.
Moving to the Pacific Northwest from Southern Cal means I can get my hair cut at the swanky place and it's $40. I feel like I am getting a deal.
Also got a fabulous hair cut so I am happily going to pledge my troth to this new woman. I prefer serial monogomy in stylists but it's been a loooooong dry spell between ones I can commit to in all good faith.
