Spike's Bitches 30: Going on Thirteen
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.
Despite the bad, you seem aware of what is going on and able to make some steps. Is there a place near by that you can get tabuloui? a very small amount of something carbish, but very chewy and full of fiber might give you just enough- but a small amount that you can control, migh t be an option.
and RSI are tireing - i don't think it is out of shape as much as you think it is. I saw you perform - there is some core strength there- but RSI are exhausting. 10 minutes of weed pulling could be all you can handle , because you are ill. and Even if allergies don't bother you, the sudden warmth is htrowing so much stuff in the air - that itching is not surpiseing - and if your RSI is in your arms - you got enough blood circulating that the new blood in arms can cause itching.
and in news of me,I am sunburned. I forgot to put my face stuff on and there is lots of real sun . burned chest and face.
Argh. I hope you have some good vitamin E lotion to apply. I know that I have to remember to wear a babushka with my kokoshnik tomorrow. My hair is thinning enough that my scalp gets burned easily.

Yeah, this is where the anti-depressants help, I think. Not that I didn't have any self-awareness before. Psychotherapy has helped me develop that. But I think that when I went out in to the yard and saw what a mess it is (the weeds aren't the only thing. Workmen have dumped all kinds of stuff around and things are damaged.... ) then went inside and saw what a sty it is inside, I would have broken down and cried until I went to sleep. The anti-deps keep me in this bizarre sort of removed state of mind. So i feel it a little but not anywhere near as much as I would have. It's helpful but also a little disturbing.
I'm going to cut up some tomatoes and have them with balsamic vinegar.
I just finished putting away the clean dishes and appliance parts. I may have to make some msbelle stylee (and how much do I admire her productivity?) posts just listing the accomplishments I manage.
I hope you feel better and heal soon, beth.

yum
so far I am just warm, but not too warm. Sadly, I will probbably peel.
I like post what I have accomplished here. i don't think it is terribly exciting, so if there is no response, big deal. and if there is one - it is positive reenforcement , so cool
Well, be careful. I can't emphasize enough how helpful vitamin E is in cases like this. I'm extremely fair-skinned so I'm experienced with sunburns. I had a second degree burn on my chest once. Huge blister. My grandma the nurse pricked a vitamin E caplet and applied the oil as close to the burn as she could get it. I managed to heal without a scar. Taking it orally is also helpful if you're afraid to get the vitamin E oil on you (it is awfully sticky). You can also just use a lotion that has lots of vitamin E in it.
I rarely burn out here - there is usually enough sun year round that my face and arms have color all year - I usually do burn once - on my sholders, or back , or chest, because I forget. Once it has happened I am better with the sun screen ( and hats) and the parts of me that don't get enough sun protection don't burn as easily. I was surpised today. I've only had 5 or 6 bad burns- meaning My skin was way to sensitve fo r even a sheet to touch - but I have never blistered. I do have some Burt's bee's coconut creme with vit E - that can go on my chest - but my face is just gonna have to deal with my normal lotions- anything to thick , or too scent , or just becuse today is Tuesday , will make my face break out.
Everyone must run,
run,
to the nearest movie theatre and go see
Kinky Boots.
OMGWTF FUNNY and sweet and quirky and fun. Also phenomenal soundtrack and hot drag queens and did I mention GO SEE IT.
It does look fabulous. I'm doubting we'll get it in Cairo, but it's possible. I was pleasantly surprised that they didn't cut teh gay out of
V for Vendetta,
so who knows...
Don't know whether it was the grasses or this other annoying hairy weed, but I've got itchy welts on my arms. I've slathered them with aloe gel. I'ma trying to look up what kind of weeds they were. The landscaper's bringing guys by on Sunday to whack things down.
In bed now. Didn't accomplish too much more except helping to get the word out about my brother's music. Now watching West Wing on the laptop before I go to sleep.
Spidra! I owe you links! Will try to email you some today. Mea culpa.
Also, big sympathy wrt the itchiness - yesterday I got eaten alive by mozzies and suchlike, and am all bitey now. Which is A Bad Thing.
ion, I think I'm going to call my iPod Rodney, because it's cute and stocky and has a huge memory and it does lots of clever stuff.
Hearting Fay.
Oh, and now I remember that I need to watch all of my stored-up SGAs from the Tivo so that I can switch over to my new, two-channel Tivo! Yay!
