Now, I can hold a note for a long time...actually I can hold a note forever. But eventually that's just noise. It's the change we're listening for. The note coming after, and the one after that. That's what makes it music.

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

Wait--I thought TDS was repeats this week. It's new? AND I MISSED MY BELOVED JOHN HODGMAN? Oh the humanity.

I wonder if they put it up on their website. It was so freakin' good.

I'm not 100% sure, but I think it was a re-run - it was just a re-run with Hodgman. I remember him being on not long ago (I know they re-ran the Dennis Leary one on Monday or Tuesday).

I really need a vacation from stupidity. This is getting ridiculous.

Librarian Warlord

Also, sort of a surprise. If there were any question, wouldn't they have hauled out the genetic testing to be sure? I wonder what (or who) made them so positive as to the live girl's identity that they didn't question it at all.

In college, a sorority sister of mine was beaten so badly that she was in a coma for 8 weeks. At the time, the doctors were sure she'd been raped, too, because of the injury patterns, but they actually couldn't do a pelvic exam, use a rape kit etc., because of the extent of her injuries. I would assume that the same kind of thing happened here w/r/t checking dental records -- everyone seemed to think they knew who this was, so the doctors couldn't or wouldn't check because of the extraordinary injuries.

And with that, I definitely need to go to the TDS web site and lose my thoughts in some of the video snippets.

The rerun listings for today said Howard Dean, dammit. I recorded anyway since sometimes those are wonky.
