But that's just my point! You she obeys! She obeys you! There's obeying going on right under my nose!

We're very stretchy. - Connie Neil

I'm currently reading April 1865, and the author spends a big chunk of the prologue talking about the nullification issue in the pre-Civil War era. Scary to see it's back!

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

Where did people go?

I need reasons not to be cleaning my office, the way I am supposed to be.

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

Lovely furniture, Tom! I'm glad it was (eventually) delivered!

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Timelies all!

There was a power outage in our neighborhood last night. It happened while we were in the middle of cooking dinner, so we ended up getting dinner on our way to dance practice. At least the power was back when we got home.

I got my semi-annual haircut/trim today. Ended up with a new-to-me stylist, as the one I had been going to was no longer there. She did a decent enough job, though I could have done without the shilling for a colorwash and product.

In news that may amuse some, a filker I know proposed to his girlfriend(during her concert set at the con where they were both guests) while wearing a penguin suit.(Not a tuxedo, an actual penguin costume)

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I just found out I'm apparently sharing an office in my new job. BAH! I don't wanna! My predecessor worked from home three days a week, so it wasn't a big deal, I guess. t /diamond shoes are too tight

S to the A -- using they/them pronouns!

I need reasons not to be cleaning my office, the way I am supposed to be.

Reason #1: you need to find a picture of a cute fuzzy animal. It's imperative.

Recently? I did not. Maybe it got spamminated. Want to try again and I'll look in the filter?

Nilly "Natter .44 Magnum: Do You Feel Chatty, Punk?" May 22, 2006 4:45:43 am PDT

Hi, Nilly, yes, it did! Thanks! A little bird told me about it, so I stopped by and used the marvelous search feature. Thanks for the wishes.

Hey everyone, hi. Wow, I haven't been in here in yonks. Love the color of your walls, Tom! It's gorgeous! There are two new-to-me names, hullo Ailleann and Strega.

Someone mentioned Tempurpedics - when I was in Small Claims Court a few months ago, there was a hearing over a Tempurpedic - the guy bringing the suit said he'd been transferred from another Comm'rs court because the Comm'r had to recuse herself because of conflict - she and 7 other people in the courthouse staff were also suing Tempurpedic. He brought it up almost as an aside, which made the Tempurpedic guy look like he'd just eaten a lemon.

Sheryl, did she accept? Did someone take photos? Great story!
