Also, you can tell it's not gonna have a happy ending when the main guy's all bumpy.

Oh honey, the mentally unwell people have been in the fanbase since Game Changers was Stucky fanfiction on the internet. The calls have been coming from inside the house the whole time!

I'm torn wondering whether I'd prefer more realistic fanon, as garlic and asparagus are the only foods I know of that make their presence known in one's own scent/taste after consumption.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Is it a post-consumption thing, or a signature scent thing?

I suppose it's actually a signature scent thing, but I've never run into anyone who naturally smelled like a foodstuff. Well, except for maybe moldy cheese.

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

I always figured any non-human, non-garlic or onions scent a character carried was based on their grooming products. Strawberry scented shampoo, citrus-scented lotion, etc.

Cats to become a rabbit should gather immediately now here

Lucky Nutty, blocking out the canon of Wrecked, like that.

Although, I would swear that fanon had Willow smelling like strawberries back before she was "Gay now!", so pre-Racked....

Sometimes the fans are prescient.

I'd assume one would acquire a strawberry scent the same way one acquires the scent of jasmine, baby powder, or Chanel #5.

information libertarian

My impression is, in badfic, people naturally smell/taste like starwberries/vanilla.

"Mister Spock is on his fanny, sir. Reports heavy damage."

Sort of puts a new spin on 'Mmmmm, cookies' yesno?

Flea's impression is not a false one, in fanon. I've read quite a few where BUffy naturally exudes essence of vanilla instead of sweat. It's kind of creepy, actually.

They seem to be confusing Buffy with the strawberry shortcake characters.

I recall the little plastic dolls smelled of various fruits.

What is even happening?

My impression is, in badfic, people naturally smell/taste like starwberries/vanilla.

Mine, too. I figured it for a natural scent and gift with purchase of violet eyes, limpid pools of cerulean, or rich pots of chocolate with just a hint of sherry.
