Buffy: He ran away, right? Giles: Sort of, more. turned and swept out majestically, I suppose. Said I didn't concern him. Buffy: So a mythic triumph over a completely indifferent foe? Giles: Well, I'm not dead or unconscious, so I say bravo for me.

Frail my heart apart and play me a little Shady Grove

AI: I'm glad he won. Never cared for this show. But. First time I've ever, ever stopped dead at AI while channel surfing was while he was singing. What a powerhouse!

So yay for the final. And ideal timing, since I think I would have to claw my eyes out if I had to watch any more of the show. but the performers/contestants (final three, anyway) were talented and entertaining and anything but eye-clawing.

Danger is my middle name, only I spell it R. u. t. h. - Tina Belcher.

I'm now watching something on PBS about Chicago's Millenium Park.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

I'm now watching something on PBS about Chicago's Millenium Park.

Are they talking about the new-and-improved Giant Silver Bean?

Possibly. the show is a Scott Simon piece and it has moved on to other green space development around the Chicago area.

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

Donna Summer was cool. Everything else just seemed so because of all the drugs.

Carter was a good president. The '70s were when the benefits of the Civil Rights Movement percolated into the mainstream. Some clothes were bad. A lot of stuff people like now was around in the '70s (although people seem to have brought back the worst stuff, IMO). PBS was still decent in the '70s. Consumer rights were much more guarded. Congress wasn't afraid to impeach a president who was a crook, etc. etc.

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

And there were lots of great movies.
