I know my own heart and understand my fellow man. But I am made unlike anyone I have ever met. I dare to say I am like no one in the whole world. - Anne Lister

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I have to confess that the gauchos and boots thing has totally grown on me.

Frankly, I'm not surprised. I do have your name down in the Capri Files already. It was just a matter of time.

I don't entirely understand what gauchos are, or how they're different from capris or board shorts or those gigantic floppy shorts basketball players wear.

In my dictionary, gauchos flare. Capris taper. Board shorts stop above the knee, and have a characteristic style of stitching. Gigantic floppy shorts...well, they're gigantic floppy shorts. They need elastic waistbands, have no tapering, and would probably end above the knee if anyone wore them properly.

I think there are great things that can be done with clothes that go on your butt and have two leg holes, even if we don't count panties and swimsuits. Just that my ideas never seem to be in fashion.

Shit's all sorts of different now.

These are my new favorite gauchos. I love them.

Cats to become a rabbit should gather immediately now here

See, I always thought that gauchos were mid-calf length, and culottes were just below the knee, and palazzo pants were floor length. I think I may be over specific, because I distiguish between capri's, pedal pushers and crop pants, too)

In my rulebook (everyone please adopt it, stat), palazzo pants are basically longer gauchos, but culottes are made with less fabric, and don't flow like the first two.

So come, my friends, be not afraid/We are so lightly here/It is in love that we are made; In love we disappear

Palazzo pants always looked good on me, and I mourn their lack in my life.
