If a joke just isn't all that funny, does it still get to be called a joke?

Guy #1 said it was a joke, and that he couldn't tell me. Guy #2 grimaced and said he'd heard it, been grossed out, and forgot it. Because I am charming and persuasive, Guy #2 agreed to go back to #1 and pass the joke on to me. And then there was the herpes frog thing.

I like phone interviews. All of mine have gone very well, even those I chose not to pursue (there's a company that will no longer consider me for any position because I did so well on the phone interview, but turned them down (the position they described in the 2nd interview was not the position *I* responded to, and it wasn't one I wanted)). I actually enjoy them for their own sake.

No lunch break today. Will need to sneak a nap somewhere.

Alas, no can do lunch, Spidra. And now our stacks person has handed me pages ripped out of a book -- said pages are clearly made of pre 1850 paper, and some of it is in law French -- so I need to try and figure out wherefrom they were ripped.

And if I find the person who did this, I will rip into him/her...

I'll also be extra-vigilant about not letting her sneak anything extra into the package, 'cause I'd hate for you to open a package from me expecting jasmine soap and find jasmine soap plus, like, Carrot Top wrapped in bacon or some such. 'Cause Perkins is just that way.
