I look more rad than Lutheranism

Stoopid war, making our Dear Leader look bad...

Britain prevails, Leader.

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

I've probably spent at least three hours of doing nothing but sucking up the water as full as the vac will take, dumping it into the sink, and repeat. But at least I can listen to NPR shows on my iPod, and contemplate how much I want to spend on an automated sump pump.

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

I got a new sump pump (mine failed - thus the basement problem) and while it is working diligently, apparently there is no way of knowing when the damn thing will fail again. I will probably replace it as a matter of course later this year (they only have 1 year warranties) but if the electricity goes out for a long period of time, I will still be screwed. So I am investigating a power backup for it.

Some w/d vacs can be set up to expel the water through a garden hose. At this point even if yours can, probably of little comfort, but you might check.

Unfortunately, the only ones that Sears had were the non-hoseable kind. Since I felt pretty lucky to even get one of those, I'm only going to spend a little of my tiny amount of energy on bitterness.

My roommate has come home, and now she is going to help me bail. Oh yes, she will....

Baby very adorable. Personally, I've decided to disbelieve in Mondays.

So far, it's going pretty well.

Plei, you may throw things at me, but those shots totally made me think of Dogs in Elk. Must be the pumpkin color (one of the versions spread on the web has a tribute done with pumpkins.)

She's really getting more girl and less baby all the time.

Shit's all sorts of different now.

I actually had to pull up the DHS website.

I feel unclean.
