Punishingly Intricate

we're about to have the summer off, lisah!

Thank god! Because I don't really think I can give it up. It's a little like watching a train wreck but it's a very fascinating and funny trainwreck. Plus often pretty.

PS: I still love your tagline

hee hee ME TOO! I can't wait for the new season!

What is Bush's speech about? I'm guessing immigration issues, but I haven't heard.

What do people think about sending thousands of troops to the border? I can't think of a reason this is suddenly such an emergency aside from pure political pandering.

Are all New England Buffistas okay?

I think he's crazy, I think this plan is crazy, I frequently think he's trying to kill us all.

Considering the national guard is technically under the auspices of each states' governor and some of the border state guvs are currently cranky that they don't have their national guard units to deal with in state issues (oh, like the whole damned state being a tinderbox. Or let's say you aren't a border state but, I dunno, get whomped by a major hurricane, hmm?) what with them being tasked off to Iraq... you know what? It's a distraction. War isn't going well, there are these major Constitutional issues that you'd rather not discuss...oh I KNOW, let's get everybody lathered up about an ongoing, really complex issue that can be spun into easy soundbites! That's it! It'll look like we're doing something!

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

The rumors of Rove's indictment: [link]

Ann, that's a ferret.

I frequently think he's trying to kill us all.

That would explain quite a bit....

It's five thousand for kissing, ten thousand for snuggling... End of list.

It's hard to believe that Jason Leopold has those kind of sources, easy to believe he made sources up.

did not know about that Bon-Bon; but I did know that truthout is mainly useful as a source for reposted articles; never been reliable for orginal journalism.
