"We are the Goon Squad and we're coming to town...Beep! Beep!" - David Bowie, "Fashion"

Sings the Happy Anniversary song from THE FLINTSTONES towards Chez Zmayhem. Gets funny look from cow-orkers.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Happy birthday, Megan! Happy Anniversary, David and JZ!!

At least we only have to wait until tomorrow, instead of next week.

God, I know, right?!?!

Today is my last day of grad school.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Latest on the are-we-gonna-attack-Iran issue:

All sources, however, agree that given the administration’s interest in regime change, an attack on Iran is likely, regardless of international support or UN backing...

Gardiner believes that the entire initial operation could run quickly, roughly 24-72 hours. "Most of the strikes would be at night," he said. "The Iranian nuclear facilities will be targeted; more important however, a major effort would focus on Iran's capability to retaliate. The US will target missile facilities, air bases and naval assets."

Various sources say June is the most likely time. The US has one carrier in the area and is moving two more to the area.

This is depressing....

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

Oy, SHOCK AND AWE 2: Electric Bugaloo.

Because the original did so well at the BO.

That was so fucking funny, Jess. "Strapping it on"?!?!?! Oh, and how come no one pointed out that the reason Aras fell on the rocks was that he was drunk off that mimosa?? And also, I wasn't convinced that the food Terry won would have helped him win the challenge anyway, when he started talking about brocolli and cauliflower and whatnot -- after a month of not much food, that could have messed up his stomach, don't you think?

Does anyone believe that the entire operation will run "quickly?" Isn't this the bullshit we were handed last time? I didn't believe it then. I don't believe it now. I want some people impeached. Abuse of power.

Well, the idea is we'd stop after the 72 hours and then tell Iran, "If you retaliate, we'll bomb you some more."

My guess is that they retaliate, and that the whole thing will be a huge and deadly fiasco. But... who knows....

Swouncing

Today is my last day of grad school.

Yeah, because a birthday and an anniversary weren't enough to better this Monday already, right?

[Edit: 7=3+2+2. Now that can improve any sort of day.]

The operation itself, sure -- it doesn't take that long to bomb a building.

The aftermath, well that's a difference story.

Oh, and how come no one pointed out that

I don't know, except that maybe he and D didn't want the jury to know they got champagne? Which seems stupid, since the jury's all back at the hotel eating real food, so there's no reason not to make them jealous.
