Jayne: Yeah, that was some pretty risky sittin' you did there. Wash: That's right, of course, 'cause they wouldn't arrest me if we got boarded, I'm just the pilot. I can always say I was flying the ship by accident.

information libertarian

Better than I was. I still itch like crazy in little outbursts and have to sit very very still to keep from screaming. But much less oozing and swelling!

On the other hand, I found out my colleague got her wisdom teeth pulled on Thursday and got dry socket yesterday, and CAME TO WORK, and given her description of the pain I think I found someone more pitiful than me. She's here again today; I told her to go home and gave her Advil.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Gah. Major crisis now over.

Some overnight stored procedure didn't run at our big client. I had to get it working before they could use their timesheet system. My boss who usually deals with this is out of town. I came in late today, which didn't help.

Then I discover that we have no VPN connecton to client. Spent over an hour trying to get around that. Then it started working for some unknown reason.

So all is fixed. I can breathe now....

See? I gave everybody here an opportunity to tell me what a bad person I am and nobody did, because I fuckin' rule.

12 pills a day? Oh, flea, that's vile. Was your MD able to give you something good for the itching and misery? And how is your eye?

The only pill I have a real problem with is the omega-3 fatty acids capsule to boost brain development, and which is about as long as the first joint of my middle finger and encased in a hard plasticky carapace to prevent the fatty acids from leaking out and being absorbed until they're too far down in the gut to rebound as fish burps. I used to take these very nice, easy softgels, but it got too disconcerting to finish a bowl of mildly sweetened cereal and then burp fish. So now there's the big yellow plastic bullet, which is nigh impossible to swallow but at least doesn't come back up once it goes down.

It's so weird that this Omega-3 push started between Owen and Olivia. I didn't have to worry about it with Owen but then just a year later, I had to choke down another supplement every morning.

Shit's all sorts of different now.

Luckily (ish), I've been taking Omega-3 stuff because it has been found that one of the things it builds up is seratonin. I've been taking it with my Happy Brain Pills (tm) so, if I ever have another baby, I'll already be used to is (ish).

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Eee! Eee! I apparently made it to the next round of interviews, although they haven't had a formal conversation about it. Next round = rest of the department, including the direct report, who is in CA. Wheeee!

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Congrats, Jesse!

I was taking Omega 3 for a non babymaking reason, but I never burped fishy. I don't know if it was a me thing, or a brand thing.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

But my day still sucks because I got soda instead of soup with my chinese food lunch. Lame!

"Mister Spock is on his fanny, sir. Reports heavy damage."

So the whole Omega thing -- can you avoid the pills if you just eat lots and lots of fish? I would think that would be the thing to try.

Unless pregnant people aren't allowed to eat fish! I know there was a thing about mercury at one point, but, let's just say it's a good thing I"m not the chef at the maternity ward. Too many rules.
