Coding and Sleeping

Sounds like a smooth move, that's great.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

I'd go with dishes and counter first in case the pills make you queasy.

For the record, I did the dishes and the counter and JZ had to gag on her own pills. No fish burps though! (Joke only pregnant women might appreciate.)

Happy birthday Ailleen!

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Well, unless they're ASH level hot.

Don't be so rough on yourself--I'm sure your nipples are ASH hot.

"You can't put a price on the joy of not giving a shit." -Zenkitty

I was going to ask about tipping delivery guys (I get a couch on Friday) and shrift beat me to it.

Well, despite the fact that these guys assembled my bed, it only took a few minutes, and they charged a flat fee for deliveries. So I figure that letting them use my bathroom was tip enough. I may tip the mattress guys, because a) they squeezed me in at the last minute, and b) they're delivering for free. We'll see.

Sounds like a smooth move, that's great.

It's working out pretty well. And tonight I won't have to sleep on the couch anymore!

I am currently taking 4 pills every AM and 8 at dinnertime! Maybe some people are used to this, but it's weird for me. The antibiotics are bigger than the horse-pill-prenatal-vitamins. But they are capsules so go down a lot easier than the prednisone, which are tiny but chalky and icky and must be followed by m 'n ms.

I am at work today, not wearing a bourka, and nobody has fainted from seeing me yet. But I still feel hideous.

Better than I was. I still itch like crazy in little outbursts and have to sit very very still to keep from screaming. But much less oozing and swelling!

On the other hand, I found out my colleague got her wisdom teeth pulled on Thursday and got dry socket yesterday, and CAME TO WORK, and given her description of the pain I think I found someone more pitiful than me. She's here again today; I told her to go home and gave her Advil.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Gah. Major crisis now over.

Some overnight stored procedure didn't run at our big client. I had to get it working before they could use their timesheet system. My boss who usually deals with this is out of town. I came in late today, which didn't help.

Then I discover that we have no VPN connecton to client. Spent over an hour trying to get around that. Then it started working for some unknown reason.

So all is fixed. I can breathe now....
