OMG, I love Pat Kiernan SO MUCH. This morning during Today's Papers:
I'm working on a stunt, tell me what you think of it. Maybe ABC will give me a two-hour special. I will anchor the news in the dark for a week, with a team of optometrists [gesturing to the side of the set] they'll be right over there, monitoring me the whole time. And then I'll walk out into the daylight, and I'll read the teleprompter for nine minutes.
I have VM on my computer and it is so hard to wait to watch until a) my boss goes away or b) my lunch hour.

In annoying school news, my professor who was supposed to get us stuff "by Monday" is now saying it will be tomorrow. Wednesday. ISTG. AND we have to pick up the hard copy at school. ARGH.
Edit again: This guy on the show just asked Ellen Degeneres who her favorite "Hollywood hunk" is, and she said Rock Hudson. Hee.
House Republican leaders are ready to move forward on tax breaks worth $70 billion over five years to investors and some middle-income families now that they've sorted out a disagreement among themselves.
Because during an expensive war and huge deficits the important thing is to extend the tax cuts on capital gains. OTOH, I do think the alternative minimum tax should be adjusted. However, you can't just keep cutting taxes and spending like crazy. Where did all the fiscally responsible Republicans go?
