I haven't seen the Colbert speech yet, but even this tiny little excerpt, courtesy of Salon, is making me melty:
Wrod, Mz JZ. I love that he pissed off Laura so much she refused to shake his hand. The line that got me was:
"The greatest thing about this man is he's steady," Colbert continued, in a nod to George W. Bush. "You know where he stands. He believes the same thing Wednesday that he believed on Monday, no matter what happened Tuesday."
That is great. And, for satire, sadly not all that exaggerated.
I agree, erika. That's part of the beauty of Colbert's skewering.
And ita, I will definitely let you know when I know more. Plus, now that we have done more work on the house, I want to make some prints from the photos we took AGES ago, so I can hang them.

The UCC on the other side of Copley Square from me has a "Jazz Worship" every Thursday night. I speculate they all bow down to an icon of Duke Ellington or a statue of Satchmo.

I really hate writing research reports. First off, I try to begin almost every sentence with "In addition." Second, I find myself trying to say things like, "No conclusive.... conclusions can be drawn." Argh.
Prison Break: Pulling that shard of glass out of is side was exactly the wrong thing to do, wasn't it? I mean, wouldn't that just make the blood gush?
There are still a couple of listing that run for a couple more days, but the majority of the auction items have sold. My mom's group should get almost $10,000.
