If I didn't show up to work, and then when they called to ask where I was, said "oops, I thought it was Sunday, sorry about that," do you think it would work?

I've always wondered what would happen if I tried that.
Either it's crazy, or it's so crazy it just might work....

The only problem is, once you've picked up the phone to say that, you have to say, "I'll be there in an hour" or whatever. If you just roll in tomorrow talking like it's Monday, that you might be able to pull off.
Eh, go eat a muffin.
Hee!
On the off chance that no one's posted this, here's a page with links to Colbert's address at the White House Correspondents Dinner, broken into three parts.

You could say, "I'm doing this new spa thing where my feet are set in concrete and I won't be freed until tonight...."
The words to the Canadian National Anthem in french are not a straight translation of the english. It is totally different with stuff about Canada being the country of our founders, carrying a cross etc. Do people want to translate the American anthem into Spanish directly or would they write a whole new words?
The translated version had to adapt some stuff for reasons of scanning etc -- so it's not a direct translation. And of course, unofficial.
I find this HI-larious. Especially because, Episcopalians???
St. Philip’s Episcopal Church in downtown Durham, NC, announces an outdoor Hip Hop Mass at 11:00 am on Saturday, May 6, on the grounds of the church. This is not a concert – it’s a real Episcopal Mass, complete with Communion, priests, deacons, acolytes, and altar guild. But the prayer book used for the service is the newly-released Hip Hop Prayer Book, and the service music will include a band, rappers, and local step and break dancers. 100 free copies of the Prayer Book will be given away by the publisher, Church Publishing Group.

All these logistics make my head hurt. Maybe I should just go in.
