"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

Do I get some kind of prize for being simultaneously intolerably butch and femme?

That is quite a trick, JZ.

I love jeans 'cause they hold in the gut and show off the leg!

Heh. This makes me want to figure out what it says about me that I find jeans freaky and uncomfortable, but have no problems wearing corsets or girdles. Other than that I'm eccentric, I mean.

If I want to become a cloud of bats, does each bat need a separate vaccination?

I love jeans 'cause they hold in the gut and show off the leg!

The only reason not all my pants are jeans is I have a terrible fear that the moment I get rid of all my business-casual-wear, I'll wind up in a job where I can't wear jeans. So I have a few pairs of black and grey pants (cut exactly like jeans, natch) just in case.

I know my own heart and understand my fellow man. But I am made unlike anyone I have ever met. I dare to say I am like no one in the whole world. - Anne Lister

See, I've never worn a girdle or corset because they sound uncomfy and I'm all about comfy. Corsets sure look pretty, though. I'm also kind of blocky on top (no waist), so I'm not sure a corset would flatter me.

A properly-fitted corset is AMAZINGLY comfortable. Some girdles can be comfy, but they're a little more hit-or-miss.

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

Yes! This is why I don't understand the stretch/waistband-at-the-crotch trend. Completely defeats the purpose.

That man was going to shank me. Over an omelette. Two eggs and a slice of government cheese. Is that what my life is worth?

Can you take a mental-health sick day? I know it's not much, but sometimes a random day off can really help.

I did yesterday, and it did help. I think I just need several days off in a row.

Also, do you take classes over the summer? Maybe just your job and not school on top will feel like a break...?

I do. I will only be taking classes for 1/2 the summer term this summer, so I'll have all of July and most of August school-free. And I cannot wait.

ChiKat, if you're still around, do you have the names of any larger-sized consignment shops in the Chicago area?

I don't. If you find one, let me know.

Jeans. I do like them when I can find them to fit, but that's really difficult. I'm high-waisted, short legged and big tummied.

Shit's all sorts of different now.

See, I've never worn a girdle or corset because they sound uncomfy and I'm all about comfy.

Sweetheart. You don't need either. Trust.

But Jilli is right about the corsets. Comfy as hell.

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

That opening sequence on Gillmore Girls is among the cutest things I've ever seen.
