Well, you'd better not be thinking what I think you're thinking, because my answer is the same as always — no threesomes unless it's boy-boy-girl. Or Charlize Theron.

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

Yeah, that's ridiculous. Guess what? Parents do have to be the "bad guy" sometimes.
It is totally ridiculous but for parents like my sister who just can't seem to stick by her limits and enforce boundaries for the nephlet? I can see it being useful. Not as useful as a parenting course, but less likely to cause a(nother) family meltdown.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

Yeah, that's ridiculous. Guess what? Parents do have to be the "bad guy" sometimes.

See, I don't know. YOu're being the "bad guy" or at any rate setting the boundaries when you decide and communicate what the time limits are. Avoiding having to have the argument each time, though? I can see that being kind of helpful.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

There are birds singing outside my window.

Why?

What is even happening?

I don't mind being the bad guy. That device might be useful though, just because sometimes, I get caught up in what I'm doing, and don't realize how long someone has been on the PS2, because it lives in the spare room.

If all three kids are home, they police each other down to the minute about PS2 time limits. If just Chris and I are home, I try to shower, and do the chores in other parts of the house (like laundry in the basement, etc., or really scrubbing down the baths, because I like to do that, uninterrupted) while he's playing, and I do lose track of how long he's been on. He does too, because there's no clock in the room.

They long to be close to you.

Dear Mr. Earworm,

I see you looking at me, trying to figure out a way in.

You should know, I will cut you if you try anything.

OKTHNXBYE,

Me

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

Morning, all! I'm hoping to be able to get online today some more. And get some housework done, and go to the library, get some gardening done, finish the scarf I'm knitting on, and so on.

I would also like a pony.

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Timelies all!

Went to see Great Big Sea last night. Lots of fun.

Shortly we will be leaving for G's Homecoming.(his alma mater does homecoming in the spring because their big sport is lacrosse)

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I fully realize that now I'm going to end up with kids with a tv and videogames in their rooms and the savvy to break through whatever control devices I try to implement.

We're very stretchy. - Connie Neil

I'm taking a packing break.

My cat's freaking out, between all of my boxing and bagging of stuff, and the unit above me (which my last remaining neighbor moved out of last week) currently being gutted (I can hear the debris falling to the floor after the sledgehammer makes the walls shake). She's not letting me out of her sight.
