Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Because books.

What's a good way to cook greenbeans that wont give me a heart attack?

Steamed, tossed with olive oil and balsamic vinegar. Also, if you can find it, my DH used to have a champagne vinegar that was delicious to use.

There's a hope and an utter lack of. There is no medium.

I'm so sorry. Vibes to you and Mister Kitty.

Jessica and Sean, did you watch Top Chef?! Wheeee! Ding dong, the sommelier is gone! Also, the wedding was so very sweet. Only four contestants left...

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I watched it! I wonder if any of the issues were because of the supermarket shopping. Doesn't necessarily seem like it, but... And YAYAYAY! I hate that fucking Stephen.

I AM NOT CUTIEHEAD.

Green bean: steam. Even micro with a bit of water in there. If you want extra flavor, steam over cooking meat. Totally nonkosher, but when I reheat pork, I layer gbs over it. Mmmm.

I love this vet for how they adore MK. I take Devi to another vet that's closer (I went to Mt. Washington-MK's vet- because they do boarding.) But I'm seriously considering changing her vet on the basis of people who will cry with me and lurve on my pets. When I ran out today as I told the gothy office-tech that asked that MK wasn't eating (short version so I could cry in my car) she looked so broken. She told me about him keeping her company on her lap on boardings. And the night before we had a convo about the dangers of google and elderly pet and how strong denial is and how horrid thinking it through is. I kinda need to send her a note. She made me feel sane. Even if I couldn't look her in the eye today.

Unrelatedly: I'm wondering...venus.provocateuse.com? distaff.provocateuse.com? women.provocateuse.com? girlclub.provocateuse.com?

I'd go with distaff—it'll screen for a more literate class of pervs.

Because books.

Jesse, I don't think that was it. I don't think it helped, but I think the bigger problem was: not enough time, not enough people experienced in catering an event that size (and therefore not knowing how to get courses on out schedule and hot). So glad that Stephen's gone -- he really is a train wreck. That ego! That absolute lack of common sense! I just couldn't look away.

Enjoying the show much more than I thought I would.

Oh, totally, AmyLiz. Also the general freakout. I also enjoyed what's her name trying not to call the grooms "the Scotts" when their friends apparently did.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

Sarameg, I hope Mr. Kitty is okay and that he comes home soon.

I missed all the va jay jay talk. That makes me kind of sad.

Oh, Perkins -- in classic my-postal-delivery-person fashion, today I got the package slip, dated 4/20. So, tomorrow -- shooooz!

yay?

Today lasted about a brazillian hours, and I forgot to watch Alias. I did get a staff appreciation breakfast, an umbrella, and some nice notes though

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

Well, I think the salmon was definitely a victim of the supermarket shopping -- if they'd had time to go down to the fish market in the morning, they could have gotten some much better fish (and for less $$) -- apart from being SO HAPPY that Stephen's finally gone, I'm really glad Harold didn't go home because of that, since it really wasn't his fault.
