They don't recognize MY name, but when I say Mister Kitty, there are immediate coos and other sounds of pleased recognition.
Aw! When I give my name to the vet's office, they just groan. My dog is... difficult. Especially when it comes to the vet.
Anyway - so many good wishes for Mister Kitty. And you. It's so tough with ailing pets because you know they're not themselves but everything else is such a guessing game. It's not like you can just ask them what hurts or how much. I'll be thinking of you both.
(My aunt swears she has a straight jacket ready for me for the unfortunate time when my Bailey dog passes.)
