Something to do with a sporting event. . .
Wasn't sure whether this was more MUSIC or NATTER -- but Mick Jagger is going to be in a sit-com on ABC this Fall.

that is better than running it at 11 like they do here.
They ran it at 1AM here, which worked out well since I wouldn't have had time to watch it yesterday (and I think I had conflicts), but could see it this morning.
TWU may begin "targeted slowdown":
Transit workers may begin a targeted slowdown if they are forced to continue working without a contract, some union officials warned yesterday as labor leader Roger Toussaint spent his first full day behind bars.
"We're not going down that route now but it's possible" if the dispute keeps simmering, said Stephan Thomas, a bus depot chairman from Brooklyn.
Metropolitan Transportation Authority officials confirmed that its board will not take any action on the labor pact today. "There will be no vote," MTA spokesman Tom Kelly said. "It's not on the agenda."
I wonder how much they would have to slow down before anyone noticed a difference...?
Timelies,
Ended up only having to stay an extra 20 minutes last night. Which is good on one hand, on the other I had planned to take advantage of the two hours of comp time to sleep in a bit and get the emissions testing done my car. Now I'll just have to go with my original plan and do it at lunch.
Weird thing is they now apparently want you to open up the ODB port on your car before you arrive so they can check that as well, but I have no clue where mine is. I've checked my owner's manual without luck and google has been no help.
Things that I hope don't happen with male CEOs: threatening to resign if they don't change the lighting of the bathroom mirror.

In/under the glovebox? Somewhere else under the dash?
Hmm. I've actually never seen an ODB port - I've only ever owned one car that had it.
Dynamic Furniture. So far the robotic chair is my favourite.

No clue. I'm going to root around a bit and see if I can find it before I head out.

This is my second that has one, but no idea what they look like either.
Mine is under a small panel near the fusebox, to the left of the steering wheel. I'm sort of boggled they want you to do that, since...it requires less intelligence to do (once you know where it is, which people dealing with all sorts of cars all day probably should) than opening the car door. And dang, they let them race the engines on cars without ports. You'd think opening a teeny door was less of a liability. (Last emissions test, I saw them trash a transmission on an older car. Now granted, it probably was on its last legs, but they really really should have quit when it started to scream.)
My brother has that plus all sorts of other crap plugged into a laptop that lives in the passenger seat. It's sort of hilarious.
Today was not the day to wear makeup. I'm pretty much trashed.
