Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

A little.

I wish I could just go somewhere to get flensed but none of the whaling ships near me take Medicare.

Did you do it with your stompy foot?

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

Huh.

That man was going to shank me. Over an omelette. Two eggs and a slice of government cheese. Is that what my life is worth?

A little? Is this possible?

I just started watching tonight's ep of The Unit and I am very confused. If you're starting off the excercise with "You're prisoners of war," how is that SERE training? I mean, you've just skipped the SE and gone straight to the R. Shouldn't you call it something else?

She didn't even feel it. It felt weird through my glove--knuckle to nose, or something. We stopped sparring, and she was leaking tears--"I'm not crying because it hurts," she said, which made me think something was maybe kinda wrong. That and that her nose looked slightly more over to the left than it had been ten minutes ago. She didn't think anything of it until I made her look in the mirror. It didn't bleed until we went to the locker room.

Oops.

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

SLIGHTLY.

Like, there was debate at the centre over whether it was broken or not. The dentist and the boxers said yes, and the guy who'd most recently broken his nose said it didn't really matter since they couldn't fix anything until the swelling went down.

She's going to hospital anyway, but didn't need me, since she was meeting her father there.

Did I mention the oops part? It was so light a tap. Just at the right angle, with my knuckle poking at the right place.

I bought new boxing gloves as soon as she was gone.
