I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

He urged Congress to take back some of the billions of dollars in tax incentives it gave energy companies, saying that with record profits, they don't need the breaks.

Gee, you think?

Wait, is this real-world child support, where the money goes to buy food for the kids, or MRA fantasyland child support where the women just buy Ferraris and cocaine? -Jessica

I just can't believe how stupid he is.

It takes my breath away sometimes.

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Oh no! Although, really, 89 is a good long life. And hers was full of more awesomeness than most.

Calli: My people have a saying. A man who trusts can never be betrayed, only mistaken.Avon: Life expectancy among your people must be extremely short.

I buy a shellfish combon that includes cuttlefish - octopus, squid, cuttlefish, mussels and shrimp. Usually make it with pea pods, carrots, water chessnuts and onions in a souce of wine, sesame and safflowe oil, soy sauce, mollasses, garlic, five spice and umm whatever else I have in mind, stir fried with whole wheat angel hair pasta. Generally I refer to it as cthulhu stew.

See? I gave everybody here an opportunity to tell me what a bad person I am and nobody did, because I fuckin' rule.

I can't even click on the Bush link -- just reading that one sentence is making me grind my teeth.

After learning more about cephalopods, I gave up eating them.

Whereas I, semi-vegetarian though I be, learned more about cephalopods, specifically the giant squid, and thought, Fuck it. They're terrifyingly cunning and it's blazingly obvious that they'll not only eat me if they get the chance, they'll PLOT about it first and rub their tentacles together afterwards, cackling with unsettlingly sentient evil glee. I am SO eating them first!!

I'm askeered this confession will now put me ON THE LIST for Corwood and bt, but I cannot tell a lie.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Interviewed by Canadian Press when she won the Shaughnessy Cohen Prize, Jacobs said, "People really know themselves that the dark age is ahead. They're worried, and they haven't articulated it, but they feel it."

Uh-huh. Except I can semi-articulate it. I think.

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs
