Yes, it's terribly simple. The good guys are always stalwart and true, the bad guys are easily distinguished by their pointy horns or black hats, and, uh, we always defeat them and save the day. No one ever dies, and everybody lives happily ever after.

I really really really need to make a trip to goodwill. The old microwave in the new microwave box is starting to be used as a table and that is bad.

24: Someone on another board mentioned how it would be fitting justice if Jack dropped a helicopter on the newly introduced league of baddies. Mwahahahahahaha! Fury would so do that to Dr. Romano.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

That's pretty funny, Frank. When I saw whatsisname, my first thought was but you're dead! X-Files and ER both had him dirtnapping, as far as I was concerned. Oh, and Jessica, Jack can't really yell that he's a federal agent, since he's not, and has no paperwork, and is running from other federal agents. It is true that he has lied before, but I don't know that this one would gain him much. Plus, Bauerish code of ethics mightn't allow it.

edit: Why is Judd Hirsch in the wikipedia entry for Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip? He already has a job.

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

When I saw whatsisname, my first thought was...

Heh. Yeah, and besides your whitefont mentions he also died spectacularly in Robocop and, hey! - Peter Weller connection. Paul McCrane - he dies real gooooooood!

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

Plus, Bauerish code of ethics mightn't allow it.

Yeah, I get that. It's just... he's really not doing very well right now, and I think he'd get a better response from people if he claimed to have some authority other than I Have a Gun And Am Clearly Insane.
