Now, I can hold a note for a long time...actually I can hold a note forever. But eventually that's just noise. It's the change we're listening for. The note coming after, and the one after that. That's what makes it music.

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

Aimee, I have a big hat in the shape of an ass. Do you have any particular use for it? I believe you do.

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Timelies all!

Had a good weekend, aside from getting up at far-too-early'o clock to make the first panel today and yesterday.(And the absurd amounts of rain, but that didn't affect me so much) The con was fun. Bought some books, had some yummy food at both the opening reception and the closing tea, and went to some neat panels.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Aimée, that's insane levels of wrong.

Betcha none of them have their ownes chapter in a book.

True. However, that's not scandalous. Unless you've rewritten the chapter significantly.

Paintballed. Have a headache. But I had one before it started, and neither one has been a migraine. I have a lot of paint to wash out of a lot of things, plus a nifty topping of grime.

Now tagless for your comfort.

Aimee, nobody told me two of my aunts died within a month of each other. One of them lived a half an hour away from me. They were my dad's sisters and by father's family, not so close.

I was sort of pissed off for a while but they didn't even hold funerals for either one of them so I didn't miss anything. Still...they're weird people.

Driving downtown in Memphis is like being in the middle of a George Romero movie—every time I try to turn or cross an intersection I'm blocked by slack-jawed pseudo-cadavers shuffling across my path. The only difference is instead of an urge to eat brains they're motivated by the need to concentrate on their cellphone conversations to the exclusion of any awareness about their surroundings.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

Driving downtown in Memphis is like being in the middle of a George Romero movie.

Or like driving in SF. Coming home from Petaluma this afternoon, I thought I had more time before the 101 splits into Route 1 and the so called "101" which takes you through downtown SF before becoming an actual freeway again, so I wasn't in the correct lane to get on the 1.

Normally, on a Sunday that would just mean 20 minutes of extra driving, but being me, I had to pick a Sunday when there was an immigration march in downtown SF.

That is creepy, msbelle.

Why are you watching Saw in the first place though?
