What is even happening?

Foreign nationals are the worst bitching at me about security requirements. I asked one guy two weeks ago if he'd like the number to the White House to bitch at the appropriate party.

Seriously, I have no idea why I haven't been fired.

Because they've been dealing with all the other non-sciencey humans their whole lives, and some small part of them knows they're not going to find someone else who does all you do, and puts up with them, and reminds them to close doors, and such.

"We are the Goon Squad and we're coming to town...Beep! Beep!" - David Bowie, "Fashion"

Wheeeee! ALIAS! Amy Acker in the Credits! Weiss! Jack getting info the Spy Daddy way!

I'm with Jessica on being kinda meh on Vaughn being back. Does this mean he and Irina are working together on something (since she seemed to be the responsible party for his "death" and who else would have gotten word back about his daughter to him so quickly)?

Also, previews from next week: Evil!Francie and Will in da house. Possibly meh on EF being still alive too, but good to see familiar faces nonetheless. Now they just need to bring on Gina Torres and Sark for a last go around.

vanguard of the socialist Hollywood liberal homosexualist agenda

There's been lots of Scientology talk in the news what with the birth of Suri.

To celebrate, I've been walking around the office spouting "All hail Lord Xenu!"

It's probably good that I only have three officemates.

Trust my rage

I don't know why I'm so interested in this, but apparently Katie Holmes and Brooke Shields gave birth at the same hospital on the same day. [link]

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

Frank, I read it as Syd and Jack helped Vaughn to fake his death so that Prophet 5 would stop chasing him. (Which explains what the "Dad?" "I'll take care of it" was relating to.) I'm pretty sure Irina doesn't know he's alive.

"The fact that we live at the bottom of a deep gravity well, on the surface of a gas covered planet going around a nuclear fireball 90 million miles away and think this to be normal is obviously some indication of how skewed our perspective tends to be."

To celebrate, I've been walking around the office spouting "All hail Lord Xenu!"

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

who else would have gotten word back about his daughter to him so quickly?

I thought that's what the last exchange between Sydney & SpyDaddy was about. That his "I'll take care of it" meant he'd make sure the news got to Vaughn.

Frank, I read it as

I'm not sure if that would make me more or less p.o.ed than what I was thinking. Probably more because the sentimental side of me would like to see Irina come out on the right side like it seemed she had at the end of last season - I love it when the Bristow's do stuff together (the robbery leading to the birthing scene was yet another in a long line of Bristow family outings, so to speak). I also suspect Irina's line about how Sydney will learn she can't be both a mother and an agent means she still wants Syd to get out of the family business (and also seemed like an anvil-sized forshadowing of what may come at the end of the series).

See, I like that Irina hasn't ever really turned "good." She does care for Sydney in her own way, but she will always betray her in the end. Syd and Jack protecting Vaughn is lame, but it's also totally in-character (both for the characters, and for the show).
