with the career fair thing (yay career fair!).
So, I assume this means they're letting you go? Yay!
I just heard from my now-offically-new apartment managers--they're only charging me the minimum of $300 for the deposit!
And more yay!!!
Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, duct tape, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.

Yup, they said I needed a packet, and vw picked me up a packet, so I'm good to go.
Now that I've got the place, it only took me 15 minutes to arrange for movers for 5/1 (9:00 am, like you recommended, ChiKat!) and get a hold of my current landlord, who said it should take "considerably less" than the required 30 days to get my deposit back (and all I need to do is leave the place "reasonably clean," so I'm not going to be anal about the final scrub-up). All I've got left to do is contact my utilities and get hookups arranged, get my mail and magazine forwarding taken care of, and then pick up more boxes at the Waldenbooks I used to work at.
Dude. I totally accomplished, like, one thing. I can quit now, right?

Yes.
Also, it's getting close to 4:00, which means it's almost 5:00, so I should be able to go home, right?
Yes!
I like this relationship. It is working out for me.
Bored now.
You could go play the "Name that Lyric" game I set up in my LJ (la_perkins) because I was so bored.
I love the theme music for The Unit.
Unnf. That's all I got.
"How To [do what we have a brand new product offering to do that we charge people a lot of money for and that he personally is charged with selling] For Free."
Just for fun I can imagine a basis on which this is not asshatery. There is an old story where a guy with a broken printer calls the repair shop, asks to speak to the tech. He asks the woman who repairs the printers if there is anything he might do to fix it himself before bringing it in. To his surprise, she gives him a whole long list of things to try. He thanks her, tells her how nice it is of her to help him try to avoid using the shop.
She replies "Oh no, it is nothing to do with being nice. Our boss encourages us to provide free phone support in cases like this. He says we make much bigger profit on repairs where people mess around with the printer themselves before bringing them in."
