I don't fancy spending the next month trying to get librarian out of the carpet.

The artist formerly associated with cupcakes.

Argh, argh, argh. Not leaving my office today if I can help it. A delegation from the Chinese government is visiting the company today, and the place is swarming with extra security AND protesters.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

Is it worth kicking up a fuss and asking if I can get this packet & stuff now? I suppose for local jobs I don't really need a fair, just a boatload of resumes and stamps. Still, this is pretty annoying.

I really think you should.

That man was going to shank me. Over an omelette. Two eggs and a slice of government cheese. Is that what my life is worth?

Emily, I'd say it's worth it. You'll be able to hit a bunch of schools all at once, not have to pay postage and give a little face time. I'd call Career Services and see what they can do for you.

So come, my friends, be not afraid/We are so lightly here/It is in love that we are made; In love we disappear

Heh. Jilli, I thought of you when I saw that.

I'm wondering if I should plan on leaving earlier than I was planning on leaving. (I have to be in Seattle by 3 for an appointment.)

Now tagless for your comfort.

Did they cover other prescription meds? That may have been right when it was changing. It looks like, in 2000, the EEOC said it was discriminatory to separate contraception from other prescription benefits. That was backed up by a federal court in 2001, which is what really spurred the change.

Yes. I left there in Oct. of 2000, so I might not have been there for that ruling.

Woe to the fucking wicked.

Emily, yes, you should. It would more than likely be worth going to.

"In the equation E = mc⬧, c⬧ is a pretty big honking number." - Scola

Yeah, you're right. It's all so irritating. Why would they not have tried to tell college of education students about this? I mean... who else is this for? Maybe they got the undergrads, but not the grads?

DebetEsse - Apr 18, 2006 9:57:21 am PDT #1985 of 10002
Woe to the fucking wicked.

Having worked at a Career Services, they're likely trying to keep from having people show up with really embarassing (including to the school) resumes and cover letters (which probably is aimed at the undergrads). If that is the case, then they will probably not give you too much grief, not that you shouldn't tell them about the communication problems.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I've been trying to exploit Trader Joe's. There's a location between krav and the comic store, so why not? Their flowers have been good, and I've been going through their frozen foods for lunches, and sampling organic fruit.

Most fun so far has been salsa. I started with a tomato-free corn salsa, which was fun. But this past weekend I bought a peach salsa which totally rocks.

Mnnf. The dizziness is abating a bit. Brains are stupid. I've gotten the time sensitive bit of today's work done--hopefully I can spend the rest on training material.

All my sysadmins are eating ice cream and drinking beer. Nothing better go wrong.

(they were kind enough to offer me some, so I've expanded the circle of people who think I'm a beer and ice cream hating freak. Ah well.)
