Yeah, but you're an amateur fry cook and I come from a long line of fry cooks that don't live past 25.

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

Can tortilla chips be made kosher-for-Passover? They certainly don't rise any more than matzah does....

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Happy Easter, people who are into that kind of thing!

Did you hear that baking powder and baking soda can be considered kosher for Passover now (if they're certified by Orthodox kosher-for-Passover certification people)? (The logic apparently being, well, if they'd had baking powder at the time, there would have been time to make biscuits just as easily as matzah.)

I have to say, this seems awfully liberal, coming from the religion that gave you "If you might confuse the grains in the storeroom in the dark, better not eat any of them." But what do I know from Judaism?

What I do know is I saw an adorable Hassidic family walking through the Easter Parade on 5th Ave -- a dad with two little girls and one little boy, all holding hands, in matching outfits. Well, color-coordinated, in the case of the boy. Super cute!

Happy Birthday, Drew!

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Oh, happy birthday, Drew! How did the laser tag go, Kristin?

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

I wish I had jelly beans.

I would not mind having jelly beans, either. Since I neglected to actually enter a retail establishment selling such things when I was out and about earlier, I'll have to check the sales tomorrow.

I am in the process of putting together a shopping list, and in theory I am even going to make it to the grocery store today, so there might be jelly beans later.

I was going to make your black bean soup, Jesse, but I still don't have a hand mixer.

I wish I had fluffy pancakes and Blue Mountain coffee.

Oh, wait.

It's Sunday, and a slow Sunday, so I've spoken to mother and father, sister at great length, and one friend so far.

Very tiring. Must restore constitution.

ita's taunting us again.

I have 5 bags of tamarind balls though, so I can taunt in return.
