Zoe: Don't think it's a good spot, sir. She still has the advantage over us. Mal: Everyone always does. That's what makes us special.

The stock market is closed today, and I had the option of taking off today, but I have some stuff to take care of. I'll be leaving early, though.

It's five thousand for kissing, ten thousand for snuggling... End of list.

I'm going on vacation next week! But have a brief due tonight. Some judges don't celebrate. Ever.

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

Everybody agreed that Treen was honest, and that Edwards was not.

And Edwards won the election with over 60% of the vote.

Hmmmmm. I hope this sort of thing doesn't happen nationally this fall.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

In honour of Good For Shrift Friday, I'm wearing the plaid/polka dot top.

Ann, that's a ferret.

I hope this sort of thing doesn't happen nationally this fall.

First, you'd need one or more Republicans with the sort of charisma to make Bill Clinton look like a stick-in-the-mud....

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Yay for Shrift's EAT IT Day!

Perkins, my adventure in the suburbs was pleasantly un-adventuresome. Adventureful? Whatever. Took the commuter train, got picked up at the station (in an SUV!), and got a ride all the way home. Awesome. I have to say, I was shocked at how expensive the train was -- $14 one way. I guess that's cheaper than parking in the city, but still! Yet another reason not to live in the burbs.

Ellen Degeneres is talking about that crazy expensive sandwich and mint julep. Maybe she's a lurker!
