I am back from my Seder and the black shoes were A-OK. It was kind of weird, we had lamb over rice and a cheese kugel. Whatever, I don't keep kosher, but it was odd.
Unfortunately, when we arived the inside handle of the driver's side door broke off. So now we're doing the really classy roll down the window and open the door from the outside thing until we can fix it. And that distracted DH from turning off the headlights, so we had a dead battery when we were ready to go home. Fortunately, some of our fellow celebrators were parked nearby and gave us a jump. So, safely home. and well matzohed.
What is it with this plague of mechanical things going wrong?
My "new" car (bought in September) has headlights that actually turn off when you turn off the car in general, so I am much less likely to run down the battery. I should have switched to Subaru years ago....
80 degrees here today
and
I get off at noon. Yay.
Oh, it's Good Friday. It took me awhile to make that connection.
Our biggest client gives everyone GF afternoon off, but I'm not doing any work for them at the moment, so....
Wait, am I supposed to have a point here?
I'm so sad I missed the snood wars.

Our new car has this, too (a Saturn). It also decides when to turn them on. At first, we did not trust the technology, suspicious it might be powered by a demon. We'd stand in the driveway or parking lot, until the lights powered down.
I have a hivemind question: What was the name of that New York Times writer who just published a book about how sucessful single women can't find love? (something like that)
Maureen Dowd, may she whip out zingers in hell.
Nora, is it Maureen Dowd?
I didn't think that ruled one out of a career in Louisiana politics.
No, that's honesty.
I have told my Louisiana politics story, haven't I?
