I never thought of Wisconsin as being progressive although that's in its history.
I didn't know WI had a reputation for being liberal until I was a sophomore in college. And I grew up there. (Though Rock County is hardly a liberal bastion.)
Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, duct tape, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.

I think that has got to be a Darwin Awards honorable mention. I've heard of dumber, but they involve things like playing badminton with the same kinds of materials.
It's now super super bright & clean outside.
I saw a sign on someone's lawn that read: THANK YOU RUSS FEINGOLD.
I thought that was pretty neat.
I did a google on 40mm rounds, and came up with this, among other links:
If fired into snow or mud, 40mm rounds may not hit hard enough to detonate. An undetonated round may explode when stepped on or driven over.
You gotta google, people.
I blame the people who fired the 40mm round into snow or mud....
Looks cool, but I'd still be nervous about putting a battery-powered light underwater with me.
Freaksnow update:
It is snowing again, only it looks like the flakes are going UP. Has time reversed itself?
God is angry at New York for not voting for Bush, obviously.
I mean, obviously.
A battery can't electrocute you, right? You'd just be risking jacking up the light.
I love the idea, but I need a bigger bath. It's kinda full in there with me and the three rubber duckies.
I think I've found the right work shirt. It's got multiple darts and fits me both at the ribs and the breastesses. Thing is, it cost $11.99, and that makes me suspicious. Also, it comes in weird colours.
