For various sordid reasons, I don't generally like getting alumni newsletters. I tend to snarl. But sometimes I'm really glad to. Found out that a lost friend is still with her childhood best friend turned girlfriend and they just has a little girl this past fall! Plus, she's a teacher now, which wasn't the original plan, but anyone who knew her thought she'd make an excellent teacher. And a set of college sweethearts just got married. Aww.
