I caught her on a park bench, making out with a *chaos* demon! Have you ever seen a chaos demon? They're all slime and antlers.

Literary Buffistas 3: Don't Parse the Blurb, Dear.

There's more to life than watching Buffy the Vampire Slayer! No. Really, there is! Honestly! Here's a place for Buffistas to come and discuss what it is they're reading, their favorite authors and poets. "Geez. Crack a book sometime."

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

Well, yeah, but Rowling tends to write from the world of the characters, and teenagers exeprience romance with a lot of obsession and angst and drama, so it felt true to me.

And for all that so many grown-ups enjoy Harry, the books are aimed at a younger demographic, and "Who do they end up! Do they live happily ever after?" is a huge point.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

watch the talk about spoilers in here!

As far as I can tell, you'd have to be damned unlucky to get spoiled in here, because as far as I can tell people are talking out of their behinds.

Or are they?

Or are they?

I may have a very knowledgeable behind. Nobody knows what my behind has seen.

Thank god.

The evil is this way?

My behind does know the ending of HP VII. Unfortunately, it's mad at me -- because I've been sitting on it all these years -- and it won't tell me a thing. Stupid ass.

move out and draw fire

Mine would totally spoil you for HP7, but it was eaten by the First Evil.

Sox (and meara and Sparky and other DCistas), I was actually thinking about hosting a book swap. My goal is to get rid of a lot of weight and space, but it could be worthwhile. Alas, I suspect it won't happen until after Sox moves...

Anyway, I'll take it to the list.

Yo, David, I was just coming online to tell you how much I like your article in the Oxford American. Excellent work, my man!
