Oh, good!
This must be what going mad feels like.

Literary Buffistas 3: Don't Parse the Blurb, Dear.
There's more to life than watching Buffy the Vampire Slayer! No. Really, there is! Honestly! Here's a place for Buffistas to come and discuss what it is they're reading, their favorite authors and poets. "Geez. Crack a book sometime."

It's actually been a really hard year, when you stop and do the math. Eliot would cry, too, if it didn't take him seventy minutes of therapy, two cocktails, and a Sondheim medley before he can experience a human emotion through the haze of his PTSD.
I forgot about that one! We're going to the beach in a month, so I'll add that to my to-read pile!

I think you will enjoy it, I definitely did! The world-building is, as always, terrific and absorbing, the characters are great, there are two very satisfying romance storylines and the murder mystery is very good.

"The Senate today have voted to make me a god in Palmyra. They'll put a little statue to me in the temple, and people will bring offerings to me, asking me to bring rain or cure their father's gout. Tell me, Livia: if I'm a god, even in Palmyra, how do I cure gout?!" Augustus, "I Claudius"
I'm 16th in line from my library, but I started at 25th, so some progress has been made.
