I decided I owed Liz Shipton a read after following her on Insta for the funny typing videos, and Mother and Slaughter is on KU and is actually quite fun! The satire is extremely broad and over the top, but it's not pretending to be anything else so I was happy to go along for the ride. The ending is VERY on the nose and I did roll my eyes, but not enough to make me regret reading it.

(Her MM hockey series is also pretty good, in spite of the GODAWFUL titles and covers. If I hadn't realized Hailey Reaves was her pen name I would never have picked them up.)

The third book in Leigh Bardugo’s Ninth House trilogy (Dead Beat) drops on Tuesday! I really need to reread the first two, though. How fortunate I have some free time coming up.

Ooh, I had no idea! 11 weeks wait at the library. I do not have free time coming up, though, so maybe that’s for the best.

Also, I am in in denial about this being the final book in the series…

ltc has finished the Hunger Games novels and has started on the Grishaverse books and came out of her room and gave such a beautiful rant about the Darkling the other night that I wish I had filmed it.
