To commemorate a past event, you kill and eat an animal. It's a ritual sacrifice, with pie.

Literary Buffistas 3: Don't Parse the Blurb, Dear.

There's more to life than watching Buffy the Vampire Slayer! No. Really, there is! Honestly! Here's a place for Buffistas to come and discuss what it is they're reading, their favorite authors and poets. "Geez. Crack a book sometime."

If I want to become a cloud of bats, does each bat need a separate vaccination?

Which KJ Charles book should I start with? (Flow chart).

Proper English / Think of England are not among my personal faves, but they do share continuity with the Will Darling books (set about 20 years earlier, 2-3 characters appear in both series) if that appeals.

Cats to become a rabbit should gather immediately now here

I have read them all. They are all good.I also really didn’t read them in order, more likely when they were available in the library. My personal favorite is An Unseen Attraction. I also read the supernatural stuff last, because that is not always my cup of tea, but I liked it. I feel like that does probably need to be read in order, at least for someone not like me (I read many, many things out of order, including actual books sometimes). I truly think they are some of the best, if not the absolute best, gay romances I have read. For awhile, I thought she might be fayjay!

The explicit trilogies should probably each be read in order, but there isn't a unified KJC Cinematic Universe or anything.

(Like, I didn't put together who DS was until KJC said something about it on Twitter - it's more of an easter egg than an essential plot point.)

That flowchart is great! I'm not as big a fan of the magic for some reason (though I'm not anti magic books??).

I re-read Goblin Emperor this weekend, after finally reading Witness for the Dead. And then read a bunch of the fic. There's some excellently written fit out there, I just wish there was more!

Days shrink and grow cold, sunlight through leaves is my song. Winter is long.

Ooh, flowchart! And more recs. (rubs hands together). As a matter of fact, it was Fay who rec'd KJC to me.

It's all circlic, isn't it? Circleish? Circular.

Friends don't let friends read "Atlas Shrugged"

The circle of ... books?

And it rules us all.

I love most of what K.J. Charles has written; my entry point was the Magpie Lord trilogy and I've enjoyed the Sins of the City trilogy. The one-off books I've enjoyed most were Think of England and Any Old Diamonds, which brings in a character from the Sins of the City in one scene.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

::saving flowchart for later::

Choosing where to start still looks kind of overwhelming but I won't need to do it until I have gotten through more of my current Read This Next queue, maybe I will have more of a preference at that point
