Random question -- what is the difference between a novella and a novelette?
It's only a novelette if it comes from the novel region of France, otherwise it's a sparkling short story.

I think there is a semi-official wordcount difference but I don't know offhand what it is.

For the Hugos, a novelette is 7,500–17,500 words, while a novella is 17,500–40,000 words.
A novelette is a long short story. A novella is a short novel. That's how I think of it anyway.

ZomRomCom is pretty fun. Dade’s version of zombies, vampires, werewolves, etc. is interesting, but not so far outside the paranormal usual to be hard to get used to, the romance is appealing, and the Disney filks are hilarious. I wish the audiobook actually sang them but I suppose there are probably legal reasons not to.
It looks like it’s actually the start of a series, and I’m not sure how I feel about that but I like the character who it seems will be the lead in the next book. And I wouldn’t mind seeing Edie and Max again.
