I feel like that does probably need to be read in order
The explicit trilogies should probably each be read in order, but there isn't a unified KJC Cinematic Universe or anything.
(Like, I didn't put together who DS was until KJC said something about it on Twitter - it's more of an easter egg than an essential plot point.)
That flowchart is great! I'm not as big a fan of the magic for some reason (though I'm not anti magic books??).
I re-read Goblin Emperor this weekend, after finally reading Witness for the Dead. And then read a bunch of the fic. There's some excellently written fit out there, I just wish there was more!
Ooh, flowchart! And more recs. (rubs hands together). As a matter of fact, it was Fay who rec'd KJC to me.
It's all circlic, isn't it? Circleish? Circular.
I love most of what K.J. Charles has written; my entry point was the Magpie Lord trilogy and I've enjoyed the Sins of the City trilogy. The one-off books I've enjoyed most were Think of England and Any Old Diamonds, which brings in a character from the Sins of the City in one scene.
::saving flowchart for later::
Choosing where to start still looks kind of overwhelming but I won't need to do it until I have gotten through more of my current Read This Next queue, maybe I will have more of a preference at that point
Piranesi appears to be on sale is anyone is curious about it
I just got it from the library and was very confused, tbh. Interesting but confusing.
It's got a very strong element of "WTF is going on?", for sure
