Goodreads fits the rewards center of my brain. I love checking my stats and having that record of what I read, when.

Literary Buffistas 3: Don't Parse the Blurb, Dear.
There's more to life than watching Buffy the Vampire Slayer! No. Really, there is! Honestly! Here's a place for Buffistas to come and discuss what it is they're reading, their favorite authors and poets. "Geez. Crack a book sometime."
I read a ton of Donaldson back in high school, when there was actually not that much FSF to read. Don't read it: the hero is a rapist (this is not a spoiler, he does it almost first thing). The narrative is nihilistic and there's nobody to root for. I have no recollection if the writing itself is any good, but there are far more cheerful things to read nowadays.
I have that duology of his where a woman is taken to a world on the other side of a mirror, which I used to really like and am now afraid to reread.
This here is why I gave up my paper journal and opened a Goodreads acct.
Epic is me. With the Kindle integration, it's SO EASY.

You reminded me of how I used to enjoy Piers Anthony. (I feel like I miss problem stuff quite a bit, so 20 years ago or so when I first realized that Anthony was Problematic, I was even more clueless. And yet recognized he had ISSUES). So, for the sake of argument, I asked Google. Rest assured, STILL A PROBLEM.
I think many of us had that moment with Piers Anthony.
Yeah. Sort of a series of moments of increasing badness.
Honestly, I Googled in the hopes that maybe someone gently pointed out to him that his books were coming across as kinda pedophilic and he maybe mended his ways. But no, doubling down was, apparently, his path. *shudder*
I remember thinking "I don't think I want to read this series anymore" and later "I don't want to read his stuff anymore" and later still "I don't want to remember his stuff anymore" and now I cringe a little seeing his name mentioned.
From my Googling, I apparently got out before things got REALLY troubling. But even the articles about the worst of them make me wish for brain bleach.
