Spike: Heard what happened up top, offing your dad and all. Don't know if you know this, but, uh…I killed my mum. Actually, I'd already killed her, and then she tried to shag me, so I had to-- Wesley: Thank you. I'm…very comforted.

Literary Buffistas 3: Don't Parse the Blurb, Dear.

There's more to life than watching Buffy the Vampire Slayer! No. Really, there is! Honestly! Here's a place for Buffistas to come and discuss what it is they're reading, their favorite authors and poets. "Geez. Crack a book sometime."

I don’t think I even want to know how troubling things got. I enjoyed one or two of his series but doubt I can reread them now. And even then remember the Xanth series as like “wait, what the…”

Cats to become a rabbit should gather immediately now here

Yes, I did enjoy the wordplay in his books, and also that a woman could be king, not queen, but then PROBLEMS. Which are probably signaled by the self centered nature of Piers Anthony (if you say it real fast) forming the word Xanth.

I'm glad Consuela was here to give her opinion of The Chronicles of Thomas Covenant. I read those Donaldson books when I was working through the entire fantasy & science fiction section of my small town library. If anyone told me those were their favorite books, I would consider that a giant red flag and block them in real life. A world of no.

Friends don't let friends read "Atlas Shrugged"

Jonathan Strange and Mr. Norrell is $1.99 on Amazon in case you haven't read it (I must confess that I haven't ... yet).

Our wings are not tired.

I did enjoy that one, Todd.

not your mom's socks.

Friends, a favor: Say I'm actually taking the much-much-much-needed vacation. Rec me a book you think I'd like?

The more I learn, the more I realize how little I know.

So many choices!

I just finished re-reading The Book of Kells by R.A. MacAvoy

It is still one of my favorites. If I ever get to visit Ireland, I want to visit all the places mentioned in it.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Oh, speaking of recs, I think my best shot at a prize in the library's summer reading bingo includes a science fiction book with a female protagonist. I haven't read much science fiction at all (other than Bujold), so would love a recommendation!
