Nah, that seems about right. He's not quite that broad in my head, but I have more of an impression than a real picture built up. Mental images are not my strong suit.
I'm up to Warrior's Apprentice, and I don't think I read the beginning of this one before, but I have actual memory of my first exposure to Miles being a serial in Analog that I came into part way through, so that's as it should be.
I pretty much always have a mental image, but I could almost never describe what it actually is.
That might be what I mean? There's an image in there, but I can't look straight at it, it just flits past when it wants to.
I generally think of Aral as looking like Patrick Bauchau (Sydney on The Pretender). Which probably isn't that far off from the older Bruce Wayne.
I just finished Queen of the Night by Alexander Chee and I'm just annoyed that I stuck it out.
Being a Count probably contributes to my thinking Batman is a good visual. Because The Count could definitely play The Batman in a muppet production.
I'm currently working on an upcoming exhibition at work called "The Art of Alchemy", and I'm geeking out like a big ol' very excited geek, 'cause DISCOVERY OF WITCHES! And Shadow of Night! And Book of Life! An hour ago I was 2 inches away from an open 12 foot scroll of actual alchemical drawings and symbols and text, and I just wanted to hug it so badly. And make prints from it to hang on my walls. (Also, it smelled so wonderful.)
It was very hard for me to not ask the curator if there would be video of a recreation of the Diana's Tree experiment. (Although apparently there *will* be video of at least some alchemical experiments, so squeeeee!)
