I like books. I just don't want to take on too much. Do they have an introduction to the modern blurb?

Literary Buffistas 3: Don't Parse the Blurb, Dear.

There's more to life than watching Buffy the Vampire Slayer! No. Really, there is! Honestly! Here's a place for Buffistas to come and discuss what it is they're reading, their favorite authors and poets. "Geez. Crack a book sometime."

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

Is it the final movie, or are they making one more?

"What kind of magical sunshine and lollipop world do you live in? Because you need to be medicated."-SFist

The second movie is Ascendant. Really, the amazing thing is that I had no idea it was being split into two. My critic friend had to tell me there were two during the credits. For all the ridiculousness of the plot and world-building it seemed a complete story.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I remembered my mother got a Kindle for Christmas, and she's never used it! So now I can use it to re-read all the Vorkosigan books! Hooray.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

I seem to have forgotten how to put material I have onto the kindle. Maybe I'll figure it out tomorrow. I know I've done it before, it can't be that hard.

You plug it into your computer and open the folders there -- then you can just drag the files in.

This Vorkosigan project has already paid off for me: i apparently never read Shards of Honor, or at least not all of it. I must have read part of a serialization or excerpt somewhere to give me the idea I could check that off when I was actively trying to catch up on the series.

Hey. New board.

I'm reading and listening to it right now! My library has most of the audiobooks to check out on overdrive so I can go back and forth.

Is it weird that I just realized that Aral Vorkosigan in my head looks like Bruce Wayne from Batman Beyond??
