Literary Buffistas 3: Don't Parse the Blurb, Dear.

There's more to life than watching Buffy the Vampire Slayer! No. Really, there is! Honestly! Here's a place for Buffistas to come and discuss what it is they're reading, their favorite authors and poets. "Geez. Crack a book sometime."

I just finished Timeless ! I think I know what Jilli is gleebling about!

EEEEEEEee! IVY IS A VAMPIRE QUEEN!

Pete is finally reading it, and when he read the bit about the play, he said "Oh, that's why you're happy, because Ivy played a vampire queen in that ridiculous production". Ha, no! It's better than that!

Also, OMG BIFFY AND LYALL! I want to draw sparkly hearts around them.

I also want more of Lord Akeldama's adventures in parenting, because I love how he dotes on Prudence.

"It didn't taste good. It tasted soooo horrible. It tasted like....a vodka martini." - Matilda

I was sorry Ivy didn't stay in Egypt, because I like the idea of "Ivy, Queen of the Desert." Vampire millinery will never be the same.

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

Prudence was a delight. I also really enjoyed all the science!! Well, you know "science"!! I appreciate a scientifically curious heroine.

I want all the stories of Ivy's reign as the Vampire Queen of London! I especially want to know what Lord Akeldama's reaction to it.

I just read a sneaked copy of the final Montmaray book and cried.

'suela, I would love to read such a copy! I have just finished the second book and WANT MOAR NOW!

I’d be lying if I didn’t say that I miss them all tonight…

Heyyy, juliana!!!!

Also: Betsy elsewhere pointed out a new Korval book was out in eARC (those who read Lee and Miller)...and I went to read the first few chapters only to realize I didn't have the book before THAT! I got so confused while they were reprinting earlier books in omnibuses that I didn't realize a new one had come out already. Of course, then I decided I wanted to re-read the preceeding books, only to find I can't FIND my copy (which I'm almost certain is in hardback) of Fledgeling. Grrr. I need to re-alphabetize my library, and I KNOW some of it is missing. eBooks are confusing me as to what I own and don't, too.

I've been on a reading binge lately. 3 different auditioning for film books, the 2 FitzOsborne books, Galileo's Daughter, and Snow Crash (finally). Plus all of the Amazon preview for 11/22/63.

I'm stoked folks are reading the FitzOsborne books! They're so great.

The third one is out in October.
